The author gives the following extensions of results of Roitberg. First among nilpotent spaces \(X\) of finite type, the cardinality of the set \(WI(X)\) of homotopy classes of weak identities depends only on the Mislin genus of \(X\). Second let \(X\) and \(X'\) be nilpotent spaces of finite type having the same Mislin genus, and let \(Y\) be the iterated loop space of a \(1\)-connected finite CW complex, then there is an isomorphism \(Ph(X,Y)\cong Ph(X',Y)\) between the groups of homotopy classes of phantom maps, provided that \(X\) is the classifying space of a connected finite loop space or a \(1\)-connected finite Postnikov piece or a \(1\)-connected infinite loop space; indeed more general conditions are given.
