Let \(V\) be a left vector space over a division ring \(D\) and \(\text{GL}(V)\) the group of all \(D\)-automorphisms of \(V\). A subgroup \(G\) of \(\text{GL}(V)\) is said to be completely reducible if \(V\) is completely reducible as a \(D\)-\(G\) bimodule. The aim of this paper is to point out that the notion of a ``local maker'', introduced by the author earlier, extends \(V\) from the finite-dimensional case to the infinite-dimensional case. The author proves that, if \(G\) is completely reducible and \(W\) is a finite-dimensional subspace of \(V\), then \(G\) has a finitely generated subgroup \(X\) such that, for any finitely generated subgroup \(Y\) of \(G\) containing \(X\), the \(D\)-\(Y\) submodule \(WY\) has a \(D\)-\(Y\) submodule \(M\) with \(W\cap M=\{0\}\) and \(WY/M\) completely reducible. Two examples are given and some stronger conclusions for various special subgroups \(G\) are stated without proof.
