      Let \(\lambda \) be a positive constant, \(\{ p_n\} _{n\geq 0}\) be a sequence of nonnegative real numbers, and let \(\{ k_n\} _{n\geq 0}\) be a sequence of positive integers such that \(\{ n-k_n\}\) is nondecreasing and \(\lim _{n\rightarrow \infty }(n-k_n)=\infty \). In view of a result of \textit{M. P. Chen} and \textit{J. S. Yu} [J. Difference Equ. Appl. 1, No. 3, 227-237 (1995; Zbl 0855.39008)], if \(\text{ lim sup}_{n\rightarrow \infty} \sum_{i=n-k_n}^n p_i<\frac{1}{2}\) and \(\sum_{n=0}^{\infty }p_n=\infty \) then all positive solutions of the nonautonomous delay logistic difference equation \[ y_{n+1}-y_n=p_n y_n \left( 1-\frac{y_{n-k_n}}{\lambda } \right) , \qquad n=0,1,... \] tend to \(\lambda \) as \(n\rightarrow \infty \). The purpose of the article is to prove that this result concerning the behavior of solutions remains true if in the condition \(\text{ lim sup}_{n\rightarrow \infty } \sum_{i=n-k_n}^n p_i<\frac{1}{2}\) the constant \(\frac{1}{2}\) is replaced by some constant greater than \(1\).
