Let \(A\) be a unital Banach algebra, \(G_0\) the identity component of the set of all invertible elements in \(A\), \(B\) the open unit ball in \(A\). The author says that \(A\) has the removable singularity property if every bounded function holomorphic on \(B\cap G_0\) has a holomorphic extension to \(B\). Among other results the author shows that a \(C^*\)-algebra of real rank zero has this property while \(C(0,1)\) does not have it.
