    Let \(0=\lambda_0 < \lambda_1 < \dots < \lambda_n\to+\infty\) as \(n\to\infty\) and let \(A\in (-\infty ,+\infty ]\) be the abscissa of absolute convergence of the Dirichlet series \[ F(s)=a_0+\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} a_ne^{s\lambda_n},\quad s=\sigma +it. \] By definition, put \(M(\sigma,F)=\text{sup} \{ |F(\sigma +it) |: t\in\mathbb R\}\) and \(S_1(\sigma,F)=M(\sigma,F')/M(\sigma,F)\) for each \(\sigma < A\). Let a function \(\Phi\) satisfy the following properties: (1) \(\Phi\) is a positive unbounded function defined on \((-\infty,A)\); (2) the derivative \(\Phi '\) is continuous and positive on \((-\infty, A)\); (3) \(\Phi\) tends to \(+\infty\) as the argument tends to \(A\). The authors study the asymptotic behavior of the function \(S_1(\sigma,F)\). In particular, they prove that \[ \text{if} \quad \varlimsup_{\sigma\to A} \frac{\ln M(\sigma,F)}{\Phi (\sigma)}=1 \quad \text{then} \quad \varlimsup_{\sigma\to A} \frac{S_1(\sigma,F)}{\Phi'(\sigma)}\geq 1. \] This is a generalization of the results on the order of growth of entire functions due to \textit{T. Kövari} [Acta Math. Acad. Sci. Hung. 8, 87-90 (1957; Zbl 0078.26202)] and \textit{M. N. Sheremeta} [Ukr. Mat. Zh. 40, No. 2, 219-224 (1988; Zbl 0645.30019)].
