Regularization of a solution to the Cauchy problem for the system of equations of elasticity in displacements (Q1972662)

The authors study equilibrium equations for elastic homogeneous media in displacements: \[ \mu\Delta u_i (x)+(\lambda +\mu) \frac{\partial}{\partial x_i}\text{div} u_i (x)=0,\quad x=(x_1,x_2)\in D\subset\mathbb R^2, \quad i=1,2. \] Vectors of displacements and stress are supposed to be given on a part of the piecewise smooth boundary of the domain \(D\). Using results of \textit{M.~M.~Lavrent'ev} [Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Ser. Mat. 20, 819-842 (1956; Zbl 0074.09004)] and \textit{Sh.~Ya.~Yarmukhamedov} [Sov. Math., Dokl. 18(1977), 939-942 (1978; Zbl 0387.35022)] on the Cauchy problem for the Laplace equation, the authors construct explicitly the Carleman matrix and apply it for obtaining a regularized solution to the Cauchy problem for the system of equations of elasticity. Only the two-dimensional case is under study in the article. For similar results in special bounded domains, see the paper by \textit{O. I. Makhmudov} in [Russ.
