Let \(\lambda\colon H\to\Aut(G)\) be a homomorphism that determines an action of the group \(H\) on the group \(G\) and let \(\mu\colon G\to\Aut(H)\) be a homomorphism that determines an action of \(G\) on \(H\). Then the set \(G\times H\) with the operation \((g_1,h_1)\cdot(g_2,h_2)=(g_1\lambda(h_1)(g_2),h_1\mu(g_1)(h_2))\), \(g_i\in G\), \(h_i\in H\), is called a twisted product of the groups \(G\) and \(H\). In the article, a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for a twisted product of two groups to be a group. The Lie algebra of a Lie group that is a twisted product of Lie groups is constructed.
