The stability of the finite difference solution to a system of homogeneous, linear, parabolic, multidimensional partial differential equations is analyzed. The author summarizes some results obtained in earlier papers. The time discretization is a one-step-\(\vartheta\)-scheme, the discretization in space is a centered difference method. Stability is studied in terms of the mesh size ratios \(\Delta t/\Delta x^2_i\), where \(\Delta x_i\) is the mesh size in the \(i\)th direction of space.
