Multifractal spectra of certain random Gibbs measures (Q1975349)

This paper is a follow-up to [the first author, J. Stat. Phys 86, No. 5-6, 1313--1336 (1997; Zbl 0928.60086)], where a multifractal formalism was proved for a quite general class of Gibbs measures on the one-dimensional configuration space \(\{0,1\}^\infty\). These results rely on the hypothesis of differentiability of the \(\tau\)-function of the multifractal formalism. In the present paper this hypothesis is verified for a special (but interesting) class of random Gibbs measures. The proof is based on a result of Ruelle on random matrix products. For a special example the multifractal spectrum is worked out explicitly.
