Let \(S=\{a_1,a_2,\dots,a_n\}\) be a finite semigroup. For any \(a,b\) in \(S\) we denote by \(p(a,b)\) the number of solutions of the equation \(ax=b\) in \(S\). We consider \(V\), an \((n+1)\)-dimensional vector space over \(\mathbb{C}\), and let \(\{e_\varepsilon,e_{a_1},e_{a_2},\dots,e_{a_n}\}\) be a basis for \(V\) where \(\varepsilon\) is not in \(S\). For any \(a\in S\) let \(L_a\) be the linear operator of \(V\) for which \(L_a(e_\varepsilon)=e_a\) and \(L_a(e_{a_k})=e_{aa_k}\) for all \(k\in\{1,\dots,n\}\). We extend the correspondence \(a\to L_a\) to a correspondence between the semigroup algebras \(\mathbb{C}[S]\) and \(\text{End}(V)\). It is proved: Theorem. Let \(n\), \(\alpha_1,\dots,\alpha_n\), \(d\), \(l\), \(p\), \(q\) be some positive integers and let \(\Sigma\) be a set of nonisomorphic finite \(n\)-generator semigroups. Suppose that if \(S=\langle a_1,a_2,\dots,a_n\rangle\) is in \(\Sigma\) then the following four conditions hold: (i) the algebraic degree of any number in the spectrum of the element \(a=\alpha_1a_1+\dots+\alpha_na_n\) in \(\mathbb{C}[S]\) is at most \(d\); (ii) the nilpotency index of \(a\) is at most \(l\); (iii) \(p(a_k,b)\leq p\), for any \(b\) in \(S\) and \(k\) in \(\{1,\dots,n\}\); (iv) the number of minimal left ideals of \(S\) ist at most \(q\). Then the set \(\Sigma\) is finite.
