It is known that every function \(u(x,t)\) satisfying the heat equation \(u_{t}=u_{xx}\) in the deleted unit disc \(B\backslash \{(0,1)\}\) can be written as \(u(x,t)=v(x,t)+aE(x,t)\), where \(a\) is a constant, \(E(x,t)\) is the fundamental solution of the heat equation. The author extends this result as follows. Let \(\Omega \) be an open set of \(\mathbb{R}^{n+1}\), \(K=K_{0}\times \{t=0\}\) be a compact subset of \(\Omega \), \(K_{0}\subset \mathbb{R}^{n}\). If \(u(x,t)\) is a solution of the heat equation in \(\Omega \backslash K\) satisfying that \(\left|u(x,t)\right|\leq C\left|t\right|^{-M}\) near \(K\), then there exist a unique solution \(v(x,t)\) in \(\Omega \) of the heat equation and a distribution \(u_{0}\) in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) with support \(K_{0}\) such that \(u(x,t)=v(x,t)+u_{0}\ast E(x,t)\) in \(\Omega \backslash K\). Here \(\ast \) denotes the convolution in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}.\) The case of the ultradistributional growth is also considered.
