Generalized-confluent Cauchy-Vandermonde (GCCV) matrices consisting of a generalized Cauchy part C and a generalized confluent Vandermonde part V are considered. A simple relationship between the classical Cauchy matrices and generalized Cauchy matrices is obtained. The basic concern is to study their four aspects of properties: the displacement structure, inversion formulas, factorizations, and interpolation interpretation. These properties can be obtained directly from those of classical CV matrix by employing the above relationship. The notion of GCC and GCCV matrices is introduced. The criteria of invertibility of GCC and GCCV matrices are discussed and formulas are given for their right and left inversion.
