Let \(M\) be a complex manifold and \(\mathcal X_{\Theta}(M)\) be the Lie algebra of holomorphic vector fields on \(M\). One can endow \(\mathcal X_{\Theta}(M)\) with the local uniform topology. Consider its Lie subalgebra generated by the completely integrable vector fields. \(M\) is said to have the density property if the subalgebra is dense in \(\mathcal X_{\Theta}(M)\). In the present paper the authors prove that any complex semisimple Lie group \(G\) has the density property. To prove the result they use the representation theory of finite dimensional representations of \(G\), and use the concept of shears, which is defined as the kernel of a vector field when acting on the space of holomorphic functions and which roughly corresponds to the concept of highest weight vectors in representation theory.
