Using an upper bound theorem, the authors construct a model of extrusion of composite clad rods with non-axisymmetric cross-section. Kinematically admissible velocity fields are proposed for both core and sleeve regions depending on cross-sectional profile functions. Numerical results are given for rectangular, hexagonal and octagonal sections.
