Solutions of Fredholm type integral equations via the classical Schauder fixed point theorem (Q1980430)

By using the classical Schauder fixed point theorem and a relative compactness result in Hölder spaces, the author establishes the existence of at least one solution for quadratic integral equations of Fredholm type with switched argument. An illustrative example of quadratic integral equation in the Hölder space with the exponent belonging to the interval \((0,1/3)\) is presented.
