Following [\textit{S. Leader}, Math. Japon. 24, 17--24 (1979; Zbl 0409.54052)], the author proves a functional version of the contraction mapping principle from [\textit{N. Gheorghiu}, Stud. Cercet. Mat. 19, 119--122 (1967; Zbl 0179.28202)]. Moreover, a functional extension is proved for the homotopic fixed point result in gauge spaces, due to [\textit{M. Frigon} et al., Fixed point theory and variational methods for nonlinear differential and integral equations. Lectures. Toruń: Nicolaus Copernicus University, Juliusz Schauder Center for Nonlinear Studies (2017; Zbl 1383.47001)]. The text is divided into seven chapters: 1. Introduction; 2. Conv-Cauchy structures; 3. Admissible real functions; 4. Topological preliminaries; 5. Gheorghiu functional contractions; 6. Homotopic fixed points; 7. Kang-Park principles. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1471.34005].
