In this work, the authors give all nontrivial integer solutions to the equation \[ (x+r)^2+(x+2r)^2+\cdots (x+dr)^2=y^n,\quad x,y,z\in\mathbb{Z},\quad n\ge 2,\tag{1} \] for \(2\le d \le 10\) and \(1\le r \le 10^4\) with \(\gcd(x,y)=1.\) On the proofs, they use elementary arguments of algebraic number theory and the primitive divisor theorem due to Bilu, Hanrot and Voutier which is based on existence of primitive divisors of Lehmer numbers. Furthermore, they use \texttt{ThueSolve} subroutine of Magma for solving (1) with \(n=4\).
