The paper under review deals with complete exceptional sequences of an algebra of finite representation type. According to the author, complete exceptional sequences were introduced in [\textit{A. L. Gorodentsev} and \textit{A. N. Rudakov}, Duke Math. J. 54, 115--130 (1987; Zbl 0646.14014)] for coherent sheaves on the projective space and then, in the context of finite-dimensional algebras, by \textit{C. M. Ringel} [Contemp. Math. 171, 339--352 (1994; Zbl 0851.16010)] and \textit{W. Crawley-Boevey} [CMS Conf. Proc. 14, 117--124 (1993; Zbl 0828.16012)]. The author considers the Nakayama algebra given by a quiver of type \(A_n\) with linear orientation and relations given by the composition of two consecutive arrows. He shows that the complete exceptional sequences for this algebra are parametrized by idempotent functions from a set with \(n\) elements to itself. As a consequence, he gets that their number is \(\sum_{j=1}^n\binom{n}{j}j^{n-j}\) [\textit{B. Harris} and \textit{L. Schoenfeld}, J. Comb. Theory 3, 122--135 (1967; Zbl 0153.33104)] and concludes by noting a bijection with labeled height at most one forests with \(n\) labels.
