The authors study the Hölder geometry of curves generated by iterated function systems (IFSs) defined on a complete metric space. They prove that every connected attractor of an IFS is \((1/s)\)-Hölder path-connected, where \(s\) is the similarity dimension of the IFS and that every connected attractor of an IFS can be parameterized by a \((1/\alpha)\)-Hölder curve for all \(\alpha > s\). Next, the authors extend Remes' theorem to self-similar sets in complete metric spaces, but need to require that the attractor has positive \(s\)-dimensional Hausdorff measure instead of assuming the open set condition. Finally, sharp Hölder exponents of parameterizations in the class of connected self-affine Bedford-McMullen carpets are determined and parameterizations of self-affine sponges are provided.
