Let \((R,\mathfrak{m})\) denote a Noetherian local ring of dimension \(d\), and let \(I = (f_1,\ldots,f_r) \subset R\) be an ideal. For each positive integer \(N\) let \(C_N(I) = \{(f_1 +\epsilon_1, \ldots,f_r + \epsilon_r) | \epsilon_i \in \mathfrak{m}^N, i = 1,\ldots,r\}\). Suppose that \(I\) is generated by a filter regular sequence \(f_1,\ldots,f_r\). Then \textit{L. Ma} et al. [Math. Ann. 378, No. 1--2, 243--254 (2020; Zbl 1451.13058)] have shown that there exists an \(N\) such that for all \(I_N \in C_N(I)\) the Hilbert functions of \(R/I\) and \(R/I_N\) coincide. In the present paper the authors discuss the question of an explicit bound on \(N\). They provide an explicit bound in the case of \(I\) generated by a subsystem of a system of parameters of length \(r\) in a generalized Cohen-Macaulay ring. Moreover there is a bound \(N\) such that the length of the \(i\)-th local cohomology module of \(R/I\) and \(R/I_N\) coincide for all \(i < d-r\).
