Functional equations characterizing derivations: a synthesis (Q1990816)

The author summarizes some own results [Aequationes Math. 91, No. 2, 317--330 (2017; Zbl 1373.39021); Aequationes Math. 92, No. 3, 581--597 (2018; Zbl 1394.39024)] as well as results by \textit{E. Gselmann} et al. [Result. Math. 73, No. 2, Paper No. 74, 27 p. (2018; Zbl 1394.39022)] into a common framework. He shows that they can be generalized to commutative rings of sufficiently large finite characteristic.
