    Let \(m \geq 2\) and \(\mathbf{p} = (p_1, \ldots, p_m) \in (1,\infty]^m\), with \(0 \leq \left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right|:= \frac{1}{p_1} + \cdots + \frac{1}{p_m} <1\). The so-called Hardy-Littlewood inequalities for multilinear forms assert that, for all positive integers \(n\) and all \(m\)-linear forms \(T: \ell_{p_1}^n \times \cdots \times \ell_{p_m}^n \rightarrow \mathbb{K}\), there exist constants \(C_{m,p}^\mathbb{K}, D_{m,p}^\mathbb{K} \geq 1\) (that do not depend on \(n\)) such that \[ \left(\sum_{j_1, \dots , j_m = 1}^{n} |T(e_{j_1}, \dots , e_{j_m})|^{\frac{2m}{m+1-2\left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right|}}\right)^{\frac{m+1-2\left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right|}{2m}} \leq C_{m,\mathbf{p}}^\mathbb{K} \|T\|, \] for \(0 \leq \left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right| \leq \frac{1}{2}\), and \[ \left(\sum_{j_1, \dots , j_m = 1}^{n} |T(e_{j_1}, \dots , e_{j_m})|^{\frac{1}{1-\left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right|}}\right)^{1-\left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right|} \leq D_{m,\mathbf{p}}^\mathbb{K} \|T\|, \] for \(\frac{1}{2} \leq \left|\frac{1}{\mathbf{p}}\right| < 1\). The purpose of this paper is to get better information about bounds for the constants \(D_{m,p}^\mathbb{K}\) in the second inequality above, which surprisingly is more devoid of better results than those of the first inequality. The authors use a simpler and self-contained (in their own words, with which I agree) approach to generalize a recent result proved by \textit{N. Albuquerque} et al. [Ann. Math. Blaise Pascal 25, No. 1, 1--20 (2018; Zbl 1410.46027)] and, as a consequence, they prove that a universal bound obtained by \textit{R. M. Aron} et al. [Linear Algebra Appl. 531, 399--422 (2017; Zbl 1492.47005)] works for more general Hardy-Littlewood inequalities, that is, with more freedom over the parameters.
