One can begin with authors' abstract: ``We show a norm convergence result for the Laplacian on a class of pcf self-similar fractals with arbitrary Borel regular probability measure which can be approximated by a sequence of finite-dimensional weighted graph Laplacians. As a consequence other functions of the Laplacians (heat operator, spectral projections etc.) converge as well in operator norm. One also deduces convergence of the spectrum and the eigenfunctions in energy norm.'' A survey of this paper deals with the abstract convergence result for energy forms in different Hilbert spaces. The method of spectral decimation and a notion of convergence of energy forms (``Mosco convergence'') are considered. Also, some facts on fractals and self-similar energy forms are described. The main results are given with explanations, several auxiliary statements are proven, and several remarks are given. The special attention is given to examples of certain fractals.
