This book is based on a basic course for undergraduate students in control theory. Readers should have basic skills in linear algebra, Laplace transformation, and differential equations. The book starts with an introduction to mathematical modeling of systems and using the transfer function for SISO systems in the first chapter. Chapter 2 outlines the linear transformation of the state vector, while Chapter 3 offers solutions for the state space model including the LTE state equations and the discrete time equations. Chapter 4 deals with the stability analysis of linear systems, especially continuous and discrete systems. Controllability and observability are the central topics of the fifth chapter. The sixth chapter focuses on linear feedback and state feedback, together with pole assignment and state estimators. The reader is provided with several MATLAB commands to help him apply them in his/her own simulations. Examples from the field of power generation and control conclude the book successfully.
