The paper focuses on the differential equation \[ y' = (y-y_1(x))(y-y_2(x)),\eqno{(1)} \] where the functions \(y_1(x),y_2(x)\) satisfy the conditions \(y_1(x)< y_2(x)\) for all \(x\in\mathbb R\), and there exist finite limits \(\lim\limits_{x\to\pm\infty}y_j(x)=y_{j,\pm}\), \(j=1,2\). The authors describe several qualitative properties of stabilizing solutions to the above equation and propose to classify them according to four types: 1. \(y(-\infty)=y_{1,-}\), \(y(+\infty)=y_{1,+}\); 2. \(y(-\infty)=y_{2,-}\), \(y(+\infty)=y_{1,+}\); 3. \(y(-\infty)=y_{2,-}\), \(y(+\infty)=y_{2,+}\); 4. \(y(-\infty)=y_{1,-}\), \(y(+\infty)=y_{2,+}\). The main results of the paper provides sufficient conditions for the existing of stabilizing solution to equation (1). The cases of strictly monotone and nonmonotone isoclines are considered. Moreover, the monotonicity properties of several types of solutions are studied.
