The author discusses the equation \[ 2ww''=w'^2-\alpha+2\beta w^2(2w-x)+2\gamma w^2(w-z)(3w-z). \] This equation appears in the study of coalescent diagrams of certain Painlevé equations from the viewpoint of isomonodromic deformations. The Yoshida classes of its solutions are investigated.
