The interesting paper under review studies the regularity properties of the weak solutions to quasilinear elliptic equations of the type \[ \text{div}\, \mathbf{A}(x,u,\nabla u) =\text{div}\, \mathbf{F} \] over bounded \(n\)-dimensional domains. The vector field \(\mathbf{A}(x,u,\nabla u)\) supports discontinuities in \(x\) controlled in terms of small-BMO, it is continuous with respect to \(u\) while its behaviour in \(\nabla u\) is modelled after the \(p\)-Laplacian. The authors establish interior gradient estimates in the framework of the weighted Morrey spaces for any weak solution of the above equation. In particular, it is proved that \(\nabla u\) lies in the classical Morrey space \(\mathcal{M}^{q,\lambda}\) or in the weighted Lebesgue space \(L^q_w\) whenever \(|\mathbf{F}|^{1/(p-1)}\) belongs to \(\mathcal{M}^{q,\lambda}\) or \(L^q_w,\) respectively. Here \(q>p\) is any number and the weight \(w\) belongs to the Muckenhoupt class \(\mathcal{A}_{q/p}.\)
