The author discusses the class of paratopological groups which admit a transversal, \(T_1\)-independent and \(T_1\)-complementary paratopological group topology respectively. It is shown that the Sorgenfrey line does not admit a \(T_1\)-complementary Hausdorff paratopological group topology. A criterion is given for transversality in terms of submaximal paratopological groups. The author also introduces the concept of PT-sequence and gives a characterization of an abelian paratopological group being determined by a PT-sequence.
