On a list of ordinary differential equations problems (Q2000120)

The paper is devoted to mathematical activities at the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in the period 1962--1964. The author was then a doctoral student. The starting point is the list of research problems proposed by Mauricio Peixoto at the seminar on the qualitative theory of differential equations. This was the landmark for the genesis of the research interest in this theory and dynamical systems in Brazil. The development of these researches is described in the paper.
