The authors consider generalized Forchheimer flows of compressible fluids in porous media when the Darcy law is replaced by its nonlinear analogue (e.g. depending on the Reynolds number). The solvability of the initial boundary problem with time dependent boundary data is studied for its reformulation as a degenerate parabolic equation for the pressure. The estimates of the pressure and its first derivatives are derived thanks to a special structure of that equation. Large-time estimates are also proved.
