On the \(p'\)-subgraph of the Young graph (Q2000891)

Let \(\mathfrak{S}_{n}\) be the symmetric group on \(n\) letters \((n \geq 2)\). The paper under review is devoted to the study the restriction to \(\mathfrak{S}_{n-1}\) of irreducible characters of degree coprime to \(p\) of \(\mathfrak{S}_{n}\) (\(p\) a prime number). In particular, the authors study the combinatorial properties of the subgraph \(\mathbb{Y}_{p}\) of the Young graph \(\mathbb{Y}\). The results obtained generalize to odd primes the work of \textit{A. Ayyer} et al. [Sémin. Lothar. Comb. 75 (2016-2019), B75g, 13 p. (2016; Zbl 1339.05014)] devoted to the case \(p=2\).
