The Heisenberg's uncertainty relations limit the precision of measurements of canonically conjugate coordinates, position and momentum, of any quantum system. More generallly, for any pair of hermitian observables \(A\) and \(B\), the uncertainty relations are known as Schrödinger-Robertson (SR) \[ (\Delta A)^2 (\Delta B)^2\geq \frac 14 \left \langle (-i)[A,B]\right \rangle ^2+\frac 14\left \langle \{A-\left \langle A\right \rangle , B-\left \langle B\right \rangle \}\right \rangle ^2, \] where \(\left \langle A\right \rangle\) denotes the normalized expectation value and \(\{A, B\}=AB+BA\), for any quantum operators \(A\), \(B\). It is assumed that a quantum system characterized by observables \(A\), \(B\), displays classical behaviour when the inequality SR becomes an equality (i.e. it is saturated). The set of quantum observables saturating SR is a differentiable submanifold of the Hilbert space, from which the full Hilbert space of the quantum system can be a priori reconstructed. This submanifold can be endowed naturally with a symplectic structure and a Riemannian metric. It is possible that the quantum system may be reconstructed from these geometric structures. This approach is in connection with Klauder's programme of ``Enhanced Quantization''. In order to develop this project of research, in this article observables forming a Heisenberg algebra for a one dimensional quantum system are considered, and the quantum states saturating SR are constructed. It is found that such states can be considered coherent squeezed states. These states are analyzed in detail. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1411.00032].
