The authors study the simultaneous kernels of Hadamard powers of a matrix whose principal minors of size at most 3 are nonnegative. These matrices are called 3-PMP matrices. The relationship between the principal submatrix rank property and the notion of principal minor positivity is studied. The main result of this paper is given in Section 5, where a classification of simultaneous kernels of Hadamard powers of all 3-PMP matrices is provided.
