Summary: In this paper, we incorporate the notion of convex function and establish new integral inequalities of type Hermite-Hadamard via Riemann--Liouville fractional integrals. It is worth mentioning that the obtained inequalities generalize Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities presented by \textit{M. E. Özdemir} et al. [J. Inequal. Appl. 2013, Paper No. 333, 11 p. (2013; Zbl 1285.26021)] and \textit{M. Z. Sarikaya} and \textit{N. Aktan} [Math. Comput. Modelling 54, No. 9--10, 2175--2182 (2011; Zbl 1235.26015)].
