Let \(\eta_1\) be the tautological bundle over \(\mathbb{C}P^1\) and \(\overline{\eta_1}\) its complex conjugation. Let \(\eta_1^a\) be the tensor product of \(|a|\) copies of \(\overline{\eta_1}\) if \(a < 0\) and of \(\eta_1\) if \(a \geq 0\). Let \(P^n(a) := \mathbb{P}(\eta_1^a \oplus {\underline{\mathbb{C}}}^{n-1})\), the fiberwise projectivization over \(\mathbb{C}P^1\), where \({\underline{\mathbb{C}}}^{n-1}\) denotes the trivial complex linear bundle of rank \(n-1\) over \(\mathbb{C}P^1\). The author notes that \(P^n(a)\) is a toric manifold and \(P^n(1)\) is the Milnor hypersurface \(H_{1, n}\). The main goal of this paper is to provide three different proofs of the following well-known result. (Theorem 1.1) The manifolds \(P^n(a)\) and \(P^n(0)\) are complex cobordant to each other for any \(a \in \mathbb{Z}\). The author shows that the Chern numbers of \(P^n(a)\) do not depend on \(a\) and deduces the first proof. The second proof is done by using a refinement of the `gluing lemma'. The third proof uses some techniques from toric topology. As a consequence, the author shows that \(H_{1, n}\) is complex cobordant to \(\mathbb{C}P^{n-1} \times \mathbb{C}P^1\).
