    Let \(K\subset\mathbb{C}\) be a compact set in the complex plane with a simply connected complement and assume that the logarithmic capacity \(\mathrm{cap}(K) \) of \(K\) is positive. Denote by \(\tau_n (z) = \tau_n(z, K)\) be \(n\)-th Chebyshev polynomial associated with \(K\), i.e., the unique monic polynomial which minimizes the uniform norm. Further let \(\tilde\tau_n (z)= \tilde\tau_n(z,K)\) the \(n\)-th Chebyshev polynomial with zeros on \(K\). The Widom factors of \(K\) are defined by \[ \omega_n(K) = \frac{\| \tau_n \|_K}{\mathrm{cap}(K)^n} \text{ and } \tilde\omega_n(K) = \frac{\|\tilde \tau_n \|_K}{\mathrm{cap}(K)^n}. \] Here the authors consider the case when \(K={\bar G}\) is a closure of a Jordan domain \(G\) bounded by a quasiconformal curve (a quasidisk for short). Their main result is the estimate \[ \tilde\omega_n(K)=O(1) \text{ as } n\to \infty \] for a quasidisk \(K\). In particular, any quasidisk obeys the Totic-Widom bound, i.e., \[ \omega_n(K)=O(1) \text{ as } n\to \infty. \] See [\textit{V. V. Andrievskii}, Acta Math. Hung. 152, No. 2, 505--524 (2017; Zbl 1399.30002)]. To prove the main result the authors construct a sequence of monic polynomials \(p_n = p_n(\cdot, K)\) with all zeros on \(K \) such that \[ \mid \mid p_n \mid \mid _K \leq O(1)\mathrm{cap}(K)^n \text{ as } n\to\infty. \]
