The subject of this paper is related to the Stieltjes-matricial moment problem on the interval \([\alpha,+\infty)\). More precisely, the authors are interested in the backward \(\alpha\)-shifting operation for a sequence \((s_n)_{n\le \kappa}\) defined as the inverse of the operator \((s_{n+1}-\alpha s_n)_{n\le \kappa-1}\), generated from \(B\). The main objective of the authors is to study for which \(B\), the backward \(\alpha\)-shifting operation for a sequence of \(q\times q\) matrices \((s_n)_{n\le \kappa}\), will be a matricial moment sequence. For the entire collection see [Zbl 1423.46002].
