      Let us consider the open subset \(U: X_{0}\neq 0\) of the projective cubic surface \[ V: X_{0}(X_{1}^{2}+X_{2}^{2})=X_{3}^{3} \] and let \[ N(U(\mathbb{Q}), B):=\operatorname{card}\{y\mid y\in U(\mathbb{Q}),\;H(y)<B\}, \] where \(H\) is the anti-canonical height on \(V(\mathbb{Q})\) given by \[ H((x_{0}:x_{1}:x_{2}:x_{3}))=\max\{|x_{i}|\mid 1\leq i\leq n\} \] for \(\{x_{i}\mid 1\leq i\leq n\}\subseteq\mathbb{Z}\) and \(\operatorname{h.c.f.}(x_{0}, x_{1}, x_{2}, x_{3})=1\). The authors prove the estimate \[ N(U(\mathbb{Q}), B)=Bf(\log B)+O(B^{1-\theta}) \] for any \(\theta<1/9\), as \(B\rightarrow\infty\), where \[ f(t)\in\mathbb{Q}[t],\; f(t)=\sum_{i=0}^{3}a_{i}t^{i}, \] and the leading coefficient \(a_{3}\) of \(f(t)\) agrees with the prediction of \textit{E. Peyre} [J. Théor. Nombres Bordx. 15, No. 1, 319--349 (2003; Zbl 1057.14031)]. This estimate is deduced from general theorems of \textit{R. de la Bretèche} [Compos. Math. 128, No. 3, 261--298 (2001; Zbl 1001.11036)], while the calculation of Peyre's constant \(a_{3}\) relies on the toric structure of the surface \(V\) and is based on a careful study of its geometry.
