The authors discuss an explicit implicit scheme for cut cells in embedded boundary meshes. They extend their results to two and three dimensions. They focus on extending the higher-order implicit scheme with trapezoidal time stepping and unlimited slope reconstruction and its feasibility and accuracy in higher dimensions. In addition, the authors discuss how flux bounding extends to higher dimensions. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the theory discussed.
