Proper conformal Killing vectors in static plane symmetric space-times (Q2014527)

The papers summary gives a good description of its content. We repeat the summary below. ``Conformal Killing vectors (CKVs) in static plane symmetric spacetimes were recently studied by \textit{K. Saifullah} and \textit{Shair-E-Yazdan} [Int. J. Mod. Phys. D 18, No. 1, 71--81 (2009; Zbl 1163.83330)], who concluded by remarking that static plane symmetric spacetimes do not admit any proper CKV except in the case where these spacetimes are conformally flat. We present some non-conformally flat static plane symmetric spacetime metrics admitting proper CKVs. For these spacetimes, we also investigate a special type of CKVs, known as inheriting CKVs.'' The authors take a step forwards to improve our understanding of conformal Killing vectors in general, and in static plane symmetric spacetimes in particular.
