Let \(k\) be an algebraically closed field and let \(\Lambda\) be an algebra of dihedral type of polynomial growth (classified by \textit{K. Erdmann} and \textit{A. Skowroński} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 330, No. 1, 165--189 (1992; Zbl 0757.16004)]). The authors (in Theorem 1.1) describe all finitely generated \(\Lambda\)-modules with stable endomorphism ring isomorphic to \(k\). For such a module \(V\) the universal deformation ring \(R(\Lambda,V)\) is given. Moreover, the authors prove that the only possibilities for \(R(\Lambda,V)\) are: \(k\), \(k[[t]]/(t^2)\) and \(k[[t]]\).
