The authors are concerned with a homogeneous Dirichlet problem for Poisson's equation. They use a classical finite element method based on linear triangular elements and introduce an a posteriori error estimator. This estimator is directly computable without solving local Neumann problems. A problem on the unitary square, involving a fairly smooth solution, is solved in order to illustrate the estimator's efficiency. However, there is a flaw in its formulation, i.e., the solution does not verify the problem with the specified right hand side.
