The parabolic-parabolic Keller-Segel model with the logarithmic sensitivity function \(\log(v+c)\), \(c>0\), \[ u_t=\nabla\cdot(\nabla u-\chi\frac{u}{v+c}\nabla v), \] \[ v_t=k\Delta v-\alpha v+\beta u, \] is studied in bounded domains in \({\mathbb R}^N\). The global existence of classical solutions to this system in time is established, provided that the ratio of the chemotactic coefficient \(\chi\) to the motility of cells and \(k\) is not too large.
