Let \(R\) be a noncommutative semiprime ring, \(Q\) its symmetric Martindale quotient ring, \(\alpha\in\Aut(R)\), and additive \(g,h\colon R\to R\). Then \((g,h,\alpha)\) is a generalized \(\alpha\)-derivation of \(R\) if for all \(x,y\in R\), \(g(xy)=g(x)y+\alpha(x)h(y)\). For biadditive \(G,D\colon R\times R\to R\) and any \(y\in R\) let \(_yG,G_y\colon R\to R\) be \(_yG(x)=G(y,x)\) and \(G_y(x)=G(x,y)\). Then \((G,D,\alpha)\) is a generalized \(\alpha\)-biderivation if for any \(y\in R\), \((_yG,{_yD},\alpha)\) and \((G_y,D_y,\alpha)\) are generalized \(\alpha\)-derivations of \(R\). The main result in the paper assumes that \(R\) is a prime ring and \((G,D,\alpha)\) is a generalized \(\alpha\)-biderivation with \(G(R^2)\neq 0\) and proves that \(\alpha(x)=qxq^{-1}\) for some \(q\in Q\) and \(G(x,y)=D(x,y)=q[x,y]\). The author extends this result when \(R\) is semiprime to get that \(Q\) is the direct sum of three \((G,D,\alpha)\) invariant ideals: one with the conclusion of the prime case, one where \(G=D=0\), and one commutative.
