Faithful permutation representations of toroidal regular maps (Q2021401)

In this article, the authors list all possible degrees of a faithful transitive permutation representation of the group of symmetries of a toroidal regular map of types \(\{4,4\}\) and \(\{3,6\}\). In addition, they present CPR graphs associated with these maps. CPR graphs, first introduced in [\textit{D. Pellicer}, Eur. J. Comb. 29, No. 1, 59--71 (2008; Zbl 1129.05017)], have proved useful in classifying abstract regular polytopes and in realizing examples of polytopes (e.g., [\textit{M. E. Fernandes} et al., Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 370, No. 12, 8833--8857 (2018; Zbl 1400.52011)]).
