Selected applications of linear semi-infinite systems theory (Q2022431)

The paper first reviews known results on systems of arbitrary number (possibly infinite) of weak linear inequalities in \(\mathbb R^n\). Then applications to obtaining geometric properties of Voronoi cells, such as boundedness, polyhedrality, facial structure, extreme points and edges are explored. The authors further present applications to approximate subdifferentials and in the final part express their view that the paper could be seen as a `modest step forward in algebraization of computational geometry and mathematical analysis'.
