This paper deals with a viscous second-order macroscopic model describing the dynamics of multilane traffic \[ k_t+(ku)_x=0,\quad u_t+uu_x=\frac{V(k)-u}{\tau}-\frac{\mu f_y}{k}u_y-\frac{c_\sigma^2}{k} k_x, \] where \(u\) is the average traffic speed, \(k\) is the traffic density, \(V(k)\) is the equilibrium speed defined by the fundamental relation, \(c_\sigma^2\) is the anticipation rate, \(f_y\) is the sensitivity function for lane changing, \(\mu\) is the viscosity coefficient, and \(\tau>0\) is the relaxation parameter.
