The study is concerned with the design of a stabilization of a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy rule-based model expressed through a system of rules. The system comes in the form \begin{gather*} \dot{x}(t)= f(z(t))x(t)+g(z(t))u(t)+e(z(t))\phi(t) \\ y(t)=c(z(t))x(t)+d(z(t))\phi(t) \end{gather*} (here $x(t)$ is the state vector, $z(t)$ is the premise vector, $\phi$ is a disturbance vector and $y(t)$ is the output) and is subject to persistent perturbations. The stabilization is achieved by using a Lyapunov function and non-parallel distributed fuzzy controllers (non-PDC). The study offers some improvements over the previous studies in terms of expanded concepts, guaranteed bounds for first derivatives of membership functions, and the design of local bounded input bounded output (BIBO) non-PDC controllers as well as the design of global BIBO non-PDC. The results are systematically presented through a series of theorems. A number of numeric examples is covered and augmented by some comparative analysis.
