A polynomial knot in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is a smooth embedding \(f:\mathbb{R}\to \mathbb{R}^n\) such that there is a real coefficient polynomial \(\phi_i(z)\in \mathbb{R}[z]\) for each \(1\leq i\leq n\) and \(f\) can be represented in the following form \[ f(t)=(\phi_1(t),\dots ,\phi_n(t)) \qquad \mbox{ for each }t\in \mathbb{R}. \tag{\(*\)} \] For each \(n\geq 1\), let \(\mathcal{L}^n\) denote the set of all polynomial knots in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) and let \(\mathcal{L}=\bigcup_{n\geq 1}\mathcal{L}^n\). In general, if we change the topology on \(\mathcal{L}^n\), there may be the possibility that its homotopy type changes. The author studies the homotopy types of \(\mathcal{L}^n\) and \(\mathcal{L}\) when their topologies change. He has already obtained results for \(n=3\) in an earlier paper [\textit{H. Raundal} and \textit{R. Mishra}, Topology Appl. 218, 66--92 (2017; Zbl 1359.55006)] and in this paper he considers this problem for general \(n\geq 4\). In particular, he proves that there is a homotopy equivalence \(\mathcal{L}^n\simeq S^{n-1}\) if we choose any of the following four topologies \(\mathcal{T}_n^n\), \(\mathcal{T}_p^n\), \(\mathcal{T}_r^n\) (for \(r\geq 1\)) and \(\mathcal{T}_{\infty}^n\) as a topology on \(\mathcal{L}^n\). He also obtains an analogous result for \(\mathcal{L}\).
