The author studies a new concept of pseudo-spectrum for a matrix pencil, called generalized determinant pseudo-spectrum. Some of its properties and some examples are given. An analogue of the spectral mapping theorem for the generalized determinant pseudo-spectrum in the matrix algebra is obtained.
